APIs

PhotoDeck offers two different methods to integrate a user account or website with external software or services.

Please contact the PhotoDeck support before using either mechanism so we can make sure they're suitable for the intended use.

Backend API

The backend API (Application Programming Interface) is designed to manage a user's images and galleries from external applications. It requires the account holder's full login credentials.

It allows developers to build plugins and applications to interact with PhotoDeck, for example to upload and publish images, or keep a PhotoDeck collection synchronized with an external application. The API is based on REST HTTP calls.

User website content indexing

The public content (images, videos, documents) of every user website can also easily be indexed to be integrated onto another frontend/website, for example a stock aggregation service.

This requires the website owner to provide an authentication token, but doesn't require the login credentials.
